During this season of Thanksgiving and Christmas, let’s take a moment to be grateful for the following gifts:
Grateful for the Gift of Memory
There are times we don’t realize what we have until we lose it, as families of beloved Alzheimer's and Dementia patients know all too well. Such is the gift of remembering, a precious gem that glitters down memory lane...
“GEMS WITH GRACE”
(Cindy remembers...)
One year, some families from our homeschool group had decided to do the Jesse Tree that was inspired by Isaiah 11:1-2, The Branch from Jesse, a memorable way to share in the story of redemption starting on December 1st, beginning with Creation, then the Fall, counting down day by day to the star over the manger, on Christmas morn.
While some people do cookie & fudge exchanges, we did homemade ornaments. That year, several homeschool families selected one of the 25 ornaments, and that was their specialty to craft in multiples.
I loved it just as much as Grace did. With her FAV-or-ite-extra-Grace-sprinkled-sugar cookies on hand, we crafted away, and just relaxed into ‘being’. All those things like busy to-do-lists, shopping decisions, and pressing burdens with business just seemed to recede into the background with Grace. And you just enjoyed the moment with her. It was one of her greatest gifts to me.
And then came the day we exchanged with everyone else, what glee for Grace to gift her handmade ornaments we made together -- and in return, gain what all the other families had made for our very own Jesse Tree! She couldn't wait to showcase her treasure box filled with Bible story ornaments to "Earthly Dad" and call Travis and Jessica when we got home!
For years as an annual tradition, we would read the devotional and verses for that day and she would lovingly place one ornament on her little white tree every day in a much anticipated countdown to Christmas.
The Christmas story was always so special to Grace. A couple of years, she made nativities out of popsicle sticks and clothespins and gifted them to others (pictured above). I carry those memories close to my heart. And now? She celebrates Christmas with the King of Glory Himself. Can you imagine?
Grateful for the Gift of Answered Prayer
Topping the list of Thanksgiving blessings has got to be answered prayer! Only a month ago, we saw a miracle. And we don't say that lightly.
The lawyers of the five doctors and two nurses who murdered our daughter Grace initiated a final motion before the November 2024 trial to obtain the Judge's ruling to change the case to 'accidental death'. Not only is this erroneously false and offensive, 'accidental death' would be covered by their malpractice insurance, barely a slap on the wrist for them.
"...If America followed the defendants’ perspective on medical battery, hospitals would become 'walled gardens where any intentional misconduct could be treated as simple negligence.' And, 'in this world, any unethical or financially motivated physician could administer deadly drugs without consent for malign purposes, including making room for new patients […] and even that liability would be subject to insurance coverage.' [Quoted from Schara’s October 23 Brief in Opposition, p. 12] It is time to put an end to state-sanctioned medical murder."
Praise GOD, the Judge stood strong and refused to grant their motion to remove the medical battery (medical murder) from the case, allowing the jury to decide in less than one year from now. We know it's a miracle, not because there isn't sufficient evidence, but because how many times have we seen situations with stacks of evidence that the powers that be intentionally look the other way?
The gates of hell seemed to be ramming on the doors of the Outagamie County Courthouse. God must have sent some angelic reinforcement from the inside, because the doors held fast.
We full well know what we are up against -
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities,
against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places."
- Eph 6:12
Our team wrote an excellent press release on this victory, this is one section which details that the Judge’s recent decision isn't just a victory for Grace's case, but for all of America:
"As Americans have died in medical facilities at an increasingly alarming rate since 2020, legal explanations for the cause of these deaths have evolved from ‘standards of care’ and ‘malpractice’ to a newer, fuller understanding of ‘medical murder’. And now—due to a breakthrough Wisconsin lawsuit speeding unstoppably toward trial—our judicial system has finally said that ‘intent’ matters.
“'Our victory today to secure a jury trial for the battery claim in Schara v. Ascension et al. isn’t just our next step toward justice for Grace,' says Scott Schara. 'It’s a playbook for all Americans who have lost loved ones at the hands of what I, and many others, believe to be a medical establishment dangerously committed to harm—more concerned with incentives and penalties than patient health. Our case simply surviving today should send shockwaves across the nation, because we showed how to pierce the medical malpractice veil with a legal brief. Winning this claim will create a tidal wave—and a game-changing legal precedent.'”
We rejoice that Grace's case will not be decided by the hardened lawyers of hospital board rooms or corrupt bureaucrats, but the decision will come from a jury of our Wisconsin peers, people who love and laugh, cry and dream, just like us. And most wonderful of all, the case rests in His capable hands,
"The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms."
- Deuteronomy 33:27
Many praises to God for answered prayer!! Thank you to everyone who prayed; everyone who came to the hearing!
Grateful for the Gift of Freedom
Over the last few years, we've been more grateful than ever for our Constitution that stands between us and Tyranny. But our Constitution is only as strong as the People who enforce it and honor it. Have you stopped lately and thanked God for the gift of those who stood and still do stand strong?
From American citizen Hal Shurtleff fighting to maintain the freedom to fly the Christian flag over Boston, and winning 9-0 in the United States Supreme Court to Wauwatosa Wisconsin employees speaking out and engaging Liberty Counsel to fight for their freedom to display religious décor and even decorate with red and green, and winning -- the city quickly backed down in a memo that employees are “free to decorate in the manner they have historically decorated...” -- we must be ever vigilant.
Founding Father & author of The Declaration of Independence, President Thomas Jefferson instructed We the People,
"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."
As in the prior example, the enemies of freedom do not have an aversion to certain colors on the spectrum, but to the Christ of Christmas. The attacks on our freedoms are varied and vast, even against our right to live. Where would we be today if not for:
For every prayer warrior, sometimes with fasting, who battled on their knees in the spiritual realm for the ensuing victories God wrought through others in the physical realm;
For every person who recognized the stronghold of CMS hospital protocols and suspected that the windfall of the financial payoffs of salivating hospital board rooms were not in the best interests of the patient;
For every doctor and nurse that rose and continues to rise against the dictates of bureaucracy choosing to risk loss and license in order to save our countrymen's lives;
For every pharmacist who filled life saving prescriptions that were banned by health authorities at the cost of their job;
For every chiropractor or naturopath who kept us out of the hospital killing fields with immune boosting supplements and warnings, and every patient who heard their truth and pulled Remdesivir IV's out of their arms and walked out of the hospitals alive, kidneys intact;
For every soldier who took their oath seriously to defend America from all enemies both foreign and domestic, recognized the enemy within, and sacrificed pensions and vocations, risked being court martialed or dishonorably discharged to protect us;
For every sheriff who stood against mandates in his jurisdiction and directed the police to stand down and not jail those who walked free, breathed free, and continued to live their God-given, Constitutionally protected lives;
For every attorney or judge who stood strong and even won against the FDA, the CDC, the NIH, and the NIAID, against threats, bribes, and media bashing;
For every governor or legislator who wasn’t on a power trip and who remembered he answers, not to his handlers, but to We the People, and stepped up to safeguard constitutional laws that protect our rights, not to trample them by writing or approving new socialist legislation that benefits unelected bureaucrats;
For every pastor that has risen to once again be the black-robed regiment of yesteryear, preaching from the pulpits that our rights come from our Creator and to stand strong in the evil day, some who were even jailed/fined for refusing to shut their church's doors, others who reopened quickly, in contrast to the yellow bellied who rolled over, shuttering their churches for nearly a year, enforced every mandate, and even became the arm of the government in hosting covid injection facilities;
For every official or ‘citizen’ news reporter who chose instead to communicate facts not propaganda, science not psychosis, and let the consequences come in exchange for the saving of even one life;
For every teacher who refused to indoctrinate our youth with corruption;
For every parent who fought for their kids at school board meetings, earning them the label of ‘domestic terrorist’ from the FBI, and still others who made whatever sacrifices they had to in order to pull their kids out of the government schools;
For every person who said NO in the face of the most pressurized worldwide, nationwide, statewide, company-wide campaign for masks, "vaccines" and "vaccine" passports, refusing to comply to the animal training of standing on circles; sterilized socialization, and most of all, the personal invasion of experimentation on our very bodies;
We salute you, we thank you.
We are only as strong as each other. For we must fight for freedom together in numbers, for We the People are many more than those who seek to enslave us. They haven’t given up; neither must we.
Veterans Day, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month
It is true that we still have grave cause for concern in both the area of reclaiming our assaulted freedoms and the current reshaping and leadership of our military. It is also true that we must return our government to a near forgotten Just War policy that stays within the confines of our Constitution, defending our shores and American interests. But it is just as true that it's the height of ingratitude of some to not appreciate the selflessness of laying down one's life for another; the raw courage to run into enemy fire, the brave spouses and families that kept the home fires burning for months - nay, years in some cases - until their soldier came home... or did not. Or returned maimed in body and broken in spirit and soul. In November, we honored our Veterans on Veterans Day and are so grateful to each of you who were willing to pay the ultimate price to protect our homeland and the sacrifices or losses you still endure for your time in service.
This 3 minute movie montage has been combined with a moving speech by President Ronald Reagan, and we ask you to take the time to watch it in honor of all who have served. It is healthy to be grateful for the freedoms we still enjoy.
Blending our Gift of Freedom with our next gift, here is a phenomenal 3 minute Silent Night a capella from a small group of US Army who seem to be believers in Christ, as you see them singing from their hearts. Are you aware that many people were forbidden to sing in churches during covid, supposedly to stop the spread, but that was never the real reason. The spiritual energy and power radiating off of people lifting their voices in praise to a holy God sends out a light force into the powers of darkness. Literal energy. And literal healing to the body, because singing stimulates the vagus nerve, which in turn is "associated with strong social connections, positive emotions, and better physical health. Individuals with low vagal tone index experience depression, heart attacks, loneliness, negative feelings, and stroke." This whole plandemic was more of a spiritual war than most people realize.
Grateful for the Gift of Emmanuel, the GREATEST gift of all
Grace used to share, "Jesus is the reason for the season!"
The annual traditions that bring joy and peace to our hearts that many enjoy, either in fond memories of yesteryear or currently still: Christmas carols sung about the piano, in the snow, or in front of the fire; Christmas cookies baking; papers and ribbons wrapping about gifts carefully chosen for loved ones in celebration of Christ's birthday; costumes and jitters for children’s nativity plays; candles lit from one to another at Christmas Eve services; favorite feasts laid out with cheer on the Christmas tablecloth; the reading of Luke 2 to family gathered round; and on and on the traditions go. Before the colored Christmas lights twinkle back at us and the last figurine is placed into the nativity, let's focus on that little Babe in the manger...
Caring mother and earthly father sitting in animal hay surrounding the King of Glory. Did it smell like barns do? Did they have fresh water? Was the only clean hay they could get for the manger, rough? Was He crying? Strangers Mary and Joseph had never met, come to meet Him, to touch Him.
Shepherds came to visit Jesus on purpose because they already knew WHO the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger was. God the Father in Heaven, bursting with joy that the time was right to send His only begotten Son, The Redeemer, to planet earth, directed the least of these to the Greatest of these.
Clearly, in the mind of the God of the universe, one angel was not sufficient this time, as had been in telling Mary that she would bear the Messiah, in assuring Joseph that her conception was of the Holy Ghost, and in telling the shepherds clues of where to find the baby Jesus. NOW it was time to communicate the joy of Heaven, so at the Father’s command, suddenly that one angel was surrounded with a multitude of angels - was it hundreds, was it thousands, was it hundreds of thousands? praising God, and saying --
"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men."
Satan must have been livid as he watched the display in the night sky. He is obsessed with the goal to eradicate the position of Christ, to dethrone the Son of God, to annihilate His deity, to eclipse His glory, to distract humanity from the only solution to all our troubles - Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
As thoughts swirl in wonder at Christmastime, let them be centered on the wonder of Christ Himself.
He is truly always present, with each of us, and at all times. While this may be unsettling to some, it is a great comfort to others. It is awesome that Omnipresence (present in all places at once), omniscience (all knowledge), omnipotence (all power) are attributes of The. Lord. God. Alone.
Let us marvel that HE knows our thoughts as we lie down and as we wake up and all the dreams in between. He knows, not just our outward actions of good or bad, but the inward motivations of our very hearts - even better than we know them ourselves. All of our hearts are dark as coal and while we scrub our self-righteous rags of religious traditions and good deeds on the black, we realize we haven’t cleansed it at all. Alarmed, we see now the best we’ve got is just filthy rags to offer Him Who is so pure, so holy, so selfless, so just, so loving. Thus He paid the whole price for His gift to us through the torture of the cross and the power of the resurrection, and His sacrifice started by humbling Himself to come as a vulnerable, helpless babe. Only faith in His sacrifice can transform our dark hearts into purity, white as the fallen snow on a sparkly Christmas morn.
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God:
Not of works,
lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
May we bow in humble adoration of the Christ this Christmas season. And if any of you have not received THE gift of God, our prayer is you will turn to Him in humility and faith and receive Him as Savior and Lord for all eternity, praise Him! The Bible says there will be rejoicing in Heaven over each and every soul that repents and accepts the greatest Gift of all time.
If you have never seen this beautiful video of a 1000 person musical nativity, please lose yourself in the wonder of Christ's birth for the next 4 minutes, its glorious:
