Ascension Health Continues to Deny Culpability for the Death of Grace Schara
All defendants in our lawsuit were served notice on April 25th.
The hospital, the five doctors, and two nurses had until May 15th to respond to the court, by Wisconsin State Statute.
Here’s what the local news had to say about the hospital’s required response.

Surprisingly, they didn’t reach out to our family, or legal team, for a response. Well, here’s a more in depth look at what’s happening…
Ascension’s response reads like a classic case of “blame the victim”—even going so far as to suggest that Grace, a 19-year-old with Down syndrome, was responsible for her own death.
It is significant to note in Ascension’s legal response is the lack of a counter suit on the grounds of libel, slander, or defamation against Scott, despite the fact that our family has launched a much-publicized billboard campaign in the Appleton, WI area.
Scott has been accusing Ascension and various parties of murdering Grace, including through his appearances on hundreds of media outlets.
