What Causes Cancer?
» “Cancer is a disease of information processing”, was the basis of conclusions published 40 years ago by Dr. Stanislaw R. Burzynski. It is also a disease of “manufacturing faulty merchandise.” «
We need to destroy “the factory”. That is what we do - we get rid of the malignant genes, mutated genes that are inherited. Most are not inherited, though; they are acquired. In this second group, the mutated genes can be treated so that they stop making cancer - and the cancer goes away.
Then cancer is cured.
Radiation and chemotherapy instead, can mutate more genes.
There are thousands of different cancers, and there is no “one-size-fits-all” cure that can be applied to all cancer patients. It must be individualized. Just like infectious diseases where the correct antibiotic cures, targeting the gene mutation cures the cancer.
Stanislaw R. Burzynski, M.D., Ph.D.
Stanislaw R. Burzynski, M.D., Ph.D. graduated with honors from Medical Academy in Lublin, Poland and received his M.D. degree in 1967. Subsequently, in 1968 he earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry. He did his internship and residency from 1967 to 1970. From October 1970 to 1977 he was employed by Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, initially as a Research Associate and later as Assistant Professor.
While at Baylor, Dr. Burzynski’s research was sponsored and partially funded by the National Cancer Institute. Doctors associated with M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center also cooperated in this research.
On July 1, 1977, Dr. Burzynski resigned from Baylor College of Medicine and established Burzynski Research Laboratories.
Over a number of years the company expanded to Burzynski Research Institute, Burzynski Clinic, and Pharmaceutical Plant. Dr. Burzynski serves as the President, Chairman of the Board of the Institute, and is the owner of the clinic and pharmaceutical plant.
Dr. Burzynski is the discoverer of antineoplastons, which are components of a complex biochemical defense system against cancer. He is also the discoverer of new treatments for cancer, viral infections including AIDS, autoimmune diseases, Parkinson’s disease, neurofibromatosis, and restenosis.
Among his contributions are 242 patents, and over 300 scientific publications.
He is a member of numerous professional organizations, recipient of over 20 international awards, and carries the hereditary title of Count.
Gene Mutations
Everyone has mutated genes. With cancers, there can be 30 million gene mutations. It’s impossible to cure all these, but we can target hundreds of them and evaluate clinical success. Typically, the patients are better in 4 weeks or so. Even in terminal breast cancer, 3-4 months later, we have scans showing the cancers are gone.
We constantly check to be sure the mutated genes do not come back. Our longest survival of a “terminal” patient is 35 years. We got rid of the worse types of tumors. Many patients survive over 10 years cancer-free. The numbers are growing. Brain tumors, lung cancer, ovarian cancer - it’s possible to get rid of cancers.
Some patients have multiple gene mutations, and our research is studying these cases. We have 35 years of data and are analyzing 170 cases.
Anti-Neoplastons
These are small peptides discovered while looking at the blood of cancer patients. We did Phase I and Phase II Trials showing we can save 70% of patients. We are now entering Phase III Trials.
Normally, these trials would move faster. They are trying to get rid of us. This is not successful, so we are moving forward. We proved that we are right. The FDA spent a tremendous amount of money trying to show we are wrong, but we were right.
The USA is a difficult place for a cancer cure. For some reason, they don’t want it.
Who are the people involved in this? People were trying to steal what I found. They tried to put me in prison for 270 years. These people didn’t have much to say. Because of this evil, hundreds of thousands are dying. We were approached by a medium-sided pharmaceutical company and we signed an agreement. Then they conspired to put me in prison so they can steal it from me. They got 11 patents, my patents. The main villians are Vice Presidents of pharmaceutical companies. I hope the American people can look into this and there can be some drastic changes are needed.
What They Tried to Do To Dr. Burzynski
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) tried to discredit him with inaccurate trials. They published 9 patients were treated and that…
“No patient demonstrated tumor regression.”
However, they were stupid enough to also publish the actual blood anti-neoplastin concentrations. Dr. Burzynski compared their published results with his own data.
“We found that they were severely diluting the medicine. And this is why the patients had fluid overload.”
He explains that patient’s published blood levels showed a huge discrepancy versus what was proper dosing of two anti-neoplastons:

As can be seen by the chart below, the NCI study used a Phenyacetate solution that was 2.7 times lower than Dr. Burzynski’s formulation.

The chart below shows the NCI study used a Phenyacetylglutamine solution that was 36 times lower than the blood levels seen when Dr. Burzynski’s formulation was used.

The NCI study used a Phenyacetylisoglutamine solution that was 169 times lower than the blood levels seen when Dr. Burzynski’s formulation was used.
Furthermore, 7 of 9 patients had a level of 0 mcg/ml.
It Gets Worse.
The US government’s National Cancer Institute violated protocols of their own anti-neoplaston clinical trials, refuting Dr. Burzynski’s findings;
The NCI then filed 11 patents on Dr. Burzynski’s inventions;
Two government entities tried to remove Dr. Burzynski from society: The Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, and the FDA;
On October 4, 1991, the National Cancer Institute posted their site visit to Dr. Burzynski’s clinic, as shown below - they verified for themselves that “antitumor activity was documented” with the use of anti-neoplastons A10 and AS2-1;
17 days later, on October 21, 1991, the “United States of America, as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services” AND Dr. Dvorit Samid of Rockville, MD, filed a patent for anti-neoplastons AS2-1. They even had the audacity to reference Dr. Burzynsky’s own research!
As seen above, the government was the only one to use the product “for government purposes”, without paying for it. Dr. B had no idea this had happened.
Political Issues Are a Very Real Concern
Former Congressman Berkley Bedell was concerned
“we are taking the antineoplastons away from Burzynski”
They filed 11 patents, they then tried to indict Dr. B so they could steal the patents so the government could have the jurisdiction.
The use of the anti-neoplastons going from Texas to New York, done by a patient, was used as evidence to indict Dr. Burzynski. The patient wasn’t allowed to try to save his own life by taking the medications home?
There were marches outside the courthouse. Finally, all 75 indictments were dismissed. The jury was astonished that the government could do this, and established a precedent that the patient is allowed to travel with his own medications for personal use. This is not a crime. The whole thing was stupid.
Court Costs - and the Texas Medical Board
The FDA spent $6 million on this case, employing 50 attorneys. Dr. B spent his own money in his defense, and did not win back any reimbursement for monies spent.
Then the Texas Medical Board tried to take his medical license away. He won that case, also. Now 7 years have passed with freedom from government intrusion.
11 Patents
The government patents not only prove Dr. B’s results, but specify a list of cancers amenable to anti-neoplastons:
They also state it can be used for cancer prevention, and state that current approaches using chemicals and rediation …
“… promote recurrence and the development of metastatic disease…”
Propaganda
Above: Dr B has had “a vision, a passion, and a zeal” for 40 years, put up with everything - all for saving lives. It is awesome that he is alive to see his accomplishments.
Dr. Burzynski’s cure for cancer works. How do we combat the government’s lies and propaganda? Dr. B has a clinical trial on colon cancer showing 5-year survival of 60%, with the placebo group showing 18-month survival.
Dr. B publishes one study per month, and has over 300 patents. He is trying to make this treatment available. Combatting this evil is a continuing effort.
40 Years of Safety

With anti-neoplaston therapy, there are very few short-term or long-term side effects. Most patients completely recover. Now Jessica has a normal, productive live 25 years later and as a mother of 3 children.
95% of our patinets have under 6 months survival; some even have just a few weeks to live. We can’t save everyone, but we save the majority of the patients.
We measure success by blood work, scans, and gene mutation tests that are about 1 million times more sensitive than other modalities like a scan.
The smallest amount of tumor seen by a scan is about 0.5 gram. The smallest concentration of the anti-neoplaston blood level is 1 billion parts.
We see the gene mutations are gone when patients are completely cured. In the end, we run another test that detects down to 1 trillion parts/gram.
A Cancer Diagnosis
People come from all over the world to his clinic, so Dr. Burzynski’s team first decides whether or not they can receive treatment at home, like Stage 1 that can be removed by surgery. He usually sees Stage IV terminal patients.
Patients send in their records for review. The treatment is not covered by insurance, but some gene mutation medications may be covered. It is self-pay with an estimated cost, dependent on the case, $17,000 per month including oral medication alone (which is $7,000 per month), nursing, infusion sets, medical and nursing services. One day in a Houston hospital is about $20,000 just for assessment. MD Anderson asks for $250,000 cash for an out-of-state patient, as a deposit to enter the facility.
Patients usually take about 4 months to show no cancer, and brain tumors require about another 8 months afterward to prevent recurrence. Blood work shows mutated genes are no longer observed. Follow-up may be every 6 months.
In clinical trials for malignant childhood brain tumors, Stage IV patients may have the best prognosis, up to 85% with shrinkage of glioblastoma. Long-term survival is unknown because anti-neoplaston treatment has only been used for “right to try” laws that recently passed.
Acute leukemia is typically not treated in his clinic.
Cancer Prevention
Animal testing is promising for liver cancer in rats who he studied using diet plus anti-neoplastons that showed 70% survival. But 5,000 patients are required for a human study, which is not currently being done due to expenses.
The Future
Glioblastoma may have 600 gene mutations; in time, anti-neoplastons may become the standard of care.
